The PILB Armed Security Requalification is a high-efficiency assessment designed to validate the ongoing proficiency and safety of armed security professionals. This semi-annual requirement is the "architectural" benchmark for maintaining your armed status with the Private Investigator’s Licensing Board (PILB). The live-fire shooting qualification is engineered for speed and precision, typically taking less than 15 minutes to complete. Mission Readiness Checklist To ensure a streamlined qualification process, please arrive with the following mission-essential documentation and hardware: Documentation & Support - VEAS Form: Must be obtained from your employer prior to arrival. - Primary Weapon: The specific firearm type authorized by your employer. - Load Carriage: (3) Magazines for semi-automatic platforms or (2) speed loaders for revolvers. - Ammunition: 30 rounds of factory-new ammunition. - Duty Gear: Your professional duty belt. Protection & Apparel - PPE: Professional-grade eye and ear protection. - Range Attire: Durable clothing including high-collar shirts and closed-toe footwear.
